右図（foul10-2）のようにフットスポットへ全ての球を戻すこともできますが、小さい番号のボールをセンターに、もう一つのボールをフットスポットに戻すことが一般的です。フットスポットに障害ボールがある場合、フットスポットからフットレールにおろした垂線上に球をくっつけてセットする必要があります。

フットスポット優先ルールを採用していても、9番が邪魔でフットスポット（中心）にボールが置けないと判断できますので、このような配置にすることができます。

尚、図にはありませんが、狙っていた的球（7番ボール）が入っていますので手球を動かすことができます。
