ファウル処理　in case of foul

『ジャパン』でファウルが発生した場合、通常のビリヤードでは手球を動かすことが専らですが、『ジャパン』の場合は、手球か的球のいずれか1つを動かすことができます。両方のボールが動く場合は、強制的にいずれかのボールが動く場合（例えば手球がスクラッチした場合や的球がファウルインしている場合）か、次に狙う的球がキッチン内にある状況で手球を動かす場合の2パターンです。

また手球を動かす際には手球はキッチン内に、的球を動かす際には的球はスポットに移動します。

ファウルが発生すると、次のプレイヤーはこう考えます。

【ネクストボールがキッチンの外側にある場合】
  1. そのまま続行するか？
  2. 手球をキッチン内に移動するか？
  3. それとも的球をスポットに移動するか？

 

【ネクストボールがキッチンの内側にある場合】
  1. そのまま続行するか？
  2. 的球をスポットに動かすか？動かさないか？
  3. 手球を動かすとネクストはスポットに移動する。どちらのスポットにネクストを移動させるか？
  4. （手球だけをキッチン内に動かしてキッチン内の的球を狙うことはできません）
 
【手球がスクラッチした場合】
 手球はキッチン内からのスタートになる。的球を動かす？動かさない？
動かす場合はどっちのスポット？

 

【的球が入ったけどファウルだった場合】
 的球がスポットに戻ってくる。どっちのスポットに戻す？手球もキッチンに動かす？
 

もちろんファウルインボールは得点にはなりません。

『フットスポット優先ルール』を採用している場合にはフットスポットに的球を設置できないと判断されない限り、センタースポットに的球を置くことができませんので注意が必要です。

下記の各例を見て十分に理解を深めてみて下さい。

When a foul occurs in “JAPAN”, normally you can move only the cue ball, but in “JAPAN”, you can move either the cue ball or the target ball. There are 2 cases when both balls move.

① One of the balls is forced to move (for example, when the cue ball is scratched or the target ball is fouled in),

②Moving the cue ball with the next target ball being in the kitchen

When a foul occurs, the next player thinks:

【When the target ball is outside the kitchen】
  1. Do I continue without moving a ball?
  2. Do I move the cue ball into the kitchen?
  3. Or do I move the target ball to the spot?
 
 
【When the target ball is inside the kitchen】
  1. Do I continue without moving a ball?
  2. Do I move the target ball to the spot? or not?
  3. Or if I move the cue ball, the target ball moves to the spot. Which spot to move the target ball to?
  4. (It is not possible to move only the cue ball in the kitchen and aim at the target ball in the kitchen)
 
 【When the cue ball is scratched】
  1. Cue ball returns to the kitchen. Move the target ball? or not?
  2. If I move the target ball, which spot do I wont to move it to? 

【When the target ball is pocketed with foul】
  1. The target ball returns to the spot. Which spot do I return it to? And do I move also the cue ball to the kitchen?
 

Of course, foul-in (score)ball is not a score.

Please note that if the “Foot First Rule” is adopted, the object ball cannot be placed at the center spot unless it is judged that the object ball cannot be placed on the foot spot.

スポットに置けるか置けないかの判断 置けない時の対応

ボールの直径が57.15mmですから理論的に言うとスポット中心から28.58㎜の範囲にボールがあると「スポットにボールが置けない」という判断になります。分かりづらい時には実際にスポットにボールを置こうとしてみてボールが動くか動かないかを見て判断します。

Since the diameter of the ball is 57.15 mm, theoretically, if the ball is in the range of 28.58 mm from the center of the spot, it is judged that the ball cannot be placed on the spot. When it is difficult to understand, try to actually put the ball on the spot and judge whether the (obstacle) ball moves or not.

ボールがスポットに置けないと判断された場合、ボールはスポットから垂直におろされた垂線上で、かつその邪魔となっているボールとくっつけてセットしなければなりません。

If it is determined that the ball cannot be placed on the spot, the ball must be set on a vertical line from the center of the spot to the foot rail and attached to the ball.

左記同様です。

スポットを邪魔しているボールの下にセットしようとした時にさらに邪魔となるボールがある場合、その2つ目の邪魔となっているボールの下にセットしなければなりません。

If there is another obstacle ball that gets in the way when you try to set it under the obstacle ball that is in the way of the spot, you must set it below the second obstacle ball.

エクスプレスルールについて
about "Express" rule

ファウルで入った球や場外した的球についての取り扱いを決めるル―ルです。エクスプレスルールでは点球以外のファウルインボールや場外球はテーブル上に戻って来ません。

It is a rule that decides how to handle a ball that has been pocketed with a foul or a ball that has been missed. Under the express rules, foul-in balls or out-of-table balls other than point balls will not return to the table.

非エクスプレスルール　　non-express rule

通常の非エクスプレスルール（センター有）によると、『１』をセンターに、その他のボールをフットにとなります。

According to the “Non-express” rule (non- “Foot First” rule), 『１』returns to the center spot and other balls return to the foot spot.

エクスプレスルール　express rule

エクスプレスルールにおいては、ファウルで入った非点球は戻ってきません。よって点球の『３』だけがテーブル上に戻ってきます。

According to “Express” rule, non-score ball that has been pocketed with foul doesn’t return to the table. Therefore, only the score ball『３』 returns to the table.
